The Yamagata Koubou project aims to bring together foundational craftsmanship, with the beauty of Japanese art, to blend the ancient and modern worlds. The items designed by an industrial designer, Mr. Ken Okuyama (former design director of Pininfarina) such as iron teapots, hand-woven rugs, wooden furniture and stoves etc are only a few examples.
